AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -

The doors of the new Golling Fiat of Birmingham dealership opened last week on Woodward Avenue, which runs through the Birmingham, Mich., and Detroit metro area.

The store, located at 34500 Woodward Ave., is the second Fiat dealership for Bill Golling.

The owner also owns a Fiat dealership (or studio, according to the nameplate’s terminology) in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., which opened this past March next to Golling’s existing Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram Truck dealership.

"Birmingham is a big walking community, so I tried to make this Fiat Studio a walking destination," Golling said. "So in addition to our indoor cafe, we also have a stunning outdoor brick patio area with a waterfall for visitors to enjoy while shopping in Birmingham."

Company officials noted that new store now houses 14 Fiat 500 and Fiat 500 Cabrio models on display in the showroom.

“The Fiat 500s are positioned in a sweeping curve in this unique showroom,” officials noted.

Moreover, the new store has the capability for service operations, with three service bays and a car wash.

The dealership also opened right in time for this past weekend’s celebration of the 17th annual 2011 Woodward Dream Cruise, which Chrysler sponsored this year.

The festivities also marked the automaker’s continuing celebrations leading up to Chrysler’s 100th birthday — Nov. 3.
