NEW YORK — Zoombak announced its personal GPS tracking devices can now be accessed via a new application available on the Apple iPhone.

The company's Advanced GPS technology iPhone customers, including those who use the service for GPS repossession and recovery services, can now use two different features to track their assets — through its "Find Now" or "Continuous Tracking" options.

"The Zoombak iPhone app puts the speed and accuracy of an A-GPS enabled location in the palm of your hand," said Simon Buckingham, chief executive officer of Zoombak.

The A-GPS technology uses a combination of GPS and cell phone functions, officials explained.

"We have now given our customers with iPhones another option for locating their Zoombak devices while on the go," Buckingham added. "It is now easier than ever to help people keep track of their loved ones and important belongings."

By clicking on "Find Now" within the application, the current location of the selected device is displayed on a map, along with detailed location information including street address, speed, direction, latitude and longitude coordinates.

Additionally, the "Find Now" location is viewable in three different map views: digital, satellite or a hybrid of the two.

With the "Continuous Tracking" function, users can begin continuously tracking their device in five minute intervals. As the Zoombak device moves, regular notifications are sent back to the iPhone, which is designed to provide automatic alerts on the latest asset location.

Zoombak customers can also located devices in real time from the Zoombak Web site, via an SMS message to the device and, now, through the iPhone application, according to the company.
