McLEAN, Va. — Because the economic recession wreaked havoc on dealership financing, the National Automobile Dealers Association had decided to assemble various professionals to share their expertise on what dealers can do next.

Today's NADA Webinar titled "The New Reality of Financing Your Dealership" will begin at 1 p.m. ET. Registration can be completed at the association's Web site.

"This Webinar will examine the changes and give dealers the tools they need to get on the same page as the lenders," NADA officials explained.

"Dealers will increase their understanding of the key ratios financial institutions examine when evaluating dealer performance, and they'll learn how to incorporate these ratios into their own performance monitoring and maintenance," they went on to say.

"The Webinar will discuss the different uses and purposes of dealer financial information, floorplan audits, risk scores, and how to develop relationships with new lenders," NADA added.

Headlining the event is a pair of accountants with decades of experience with the automotive and finance industries.

David Jarrett is a partner with Crowe Horwath LLP who works extensively with dealerships and financial institutions. Jarrett also is charged with overseeing the company's new product development group.

Jodi Kippe also is a partner with Crowe Horwath and has 25 years of experience working with its retail dealer group. Kippe's other responsibilities include providing assurance, tax, financial advisory, risk management and performance consulting to dealerships.

NADA also will be represented during the Webinar. Paul Metrey of the association's legal and regulatory group will be the moderator.
