LOS ANGELES — Nowcom recently rolled out a new Web-based DMS, which the dealer management solutions provider contends is a major upgrade from its Dealer Desktop program.

Among the new features of DealerCenter 7 is an inventory management tool with vehicle history reports by AutoCheck as well as booking services by Kelley Blue Book, NADAguides.com and Black Book.

Company executives also highlighted DealerCenter 7 includes access to credit reports from Experian and TransUnion for customer management purposes. They mentioned a full F&I suite is integrated so users can maintain their buy-here, pay-here accounts and print plain paper contracts and forms by Wolters Kluwer Bankers Systems.

Furthermore, Nowcom indicated DealerCenter 7 users can manage their online advertising through integrations with AutoTrader.com and Cars.com as well as Nowcom's popular custom dealer Web sites.

"Nowcom's primary goal has always been to allow its users to run their entire operation from a single application. DealerCenter 7 continues to allow us to achieve that goal," noted Rufus Hankey, president of Nowcom.

"Moving to a Web-based application will make us much more agile as a company and allow us to develop and release new products and services in step with the demands of a rapidly growing user base," Hankey continued.

Nowcom executives also stressed that an additional benefit of DealerCenter 7 is the enhanced accessibility and security.

"Nowcom takes the needs and requests of its customers very seriously," stressed Miguel Jurado, the company's director of dealer services.

"Time and again, our users had requested the ability to access their information remotely, and DealerCenter 7 users can run their entire store anywhere they have an Internet connection," Jurado went on to say.

"And because we will be hosting the data on our servers, our customers will never have to worry about losing their data due to a failed backup or crashed computer. DealerCenter 7 will also provide its users with unlimited document storage at no additional cost," he added.

Nowcom pointed out that it's currently migrating Dealer Desktop users to DealerCenter 7 with plans to offer training and support through the end of the year.
