LOS ANGELES — Based on extensive dealer customer feedback, Westlake Financial Services rolled out a prime lending program this week meant to augment its offerings that are mainly geared for buy-here, pay-here stores and subprime buyers.

The newest offering, the Titanium Program, is aimed at prime-credit customers with contract features that include:

—APR as low as 5.99 percent.

—Terms up to 72 months.

—Multiple vehicles on credit report accepted.

Westlake executives indicated the Titanium Program guidelines stipulate a minimum 660 FICO score with no bankruptcies and at least three years on the credit bureau. They've tested this program for the past three months in several markets.

"We are very excited to provide our dealers with this new product," explained Mark Vazquez, the company's vice president of sales. "Westlake Financial Services is now a true ‘full-spectrum' lender. After listening to our dealers, we learned that many of our franchise partners were looking for a prime-credit alternative for their customers.

"Meanwhile, our smaller independent partners now have access to a prime program not offered by many other finance companies," he added.

The rest of the company's portfolio includes the Platinum Program for near-prime customers followed by the Preferred Program for blemished but established customers. The company contends the Standard Program is the most popular, followed by ProfitBuilder and Partner Program for BHPH deals that include payment sharing.

Executives also pointed out all of their programs are integrated into Westlake's Buy Program software that can automatically place a customer into the best program based on their credit report, vehicle selection and loan structure.

"Our goal is to provide our dealers with the tools to finance every customer that walks onto their lot," Westlake president Ian Anderson declared.

"With the release of the Titanium Program, Westlake Financial Services can be a dealer's one-stop shop for all of their auto financing needs," Anderson concluded.
