MINNEAPOLIS — Wolters Kluwer Financial Services announced Thursday a California-based finance company has adopted the AppOne platform as a pathway to reach dealers nationwide.

Management from Gateway One Lending & Finance made the decision to use AppOne, which can assist with the automation of indirect lending, credit approval and compliance processes for lenders and the auto, RV and marine dealers they serve.

Wolters Kluwer believes AppOne can provide Gateway One with another channel for expanding its indirect lending services to independent dealers. AppOne's proprietary dealer underwriting and scoring system can help lenders evaluate the level of risk associated with each dealer relationship.

AppOne also can integrate with Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' Bankers Systems vehicle retail installment contracts, which are protected by the company's compliance warranty.

"Working with Wolters Kluwer Financial Services will provide us instant access to the AppOne network of independent dealers — a key customer segment for our growing business," explained Todd Pierson, chief operating officer at Gateway One.

"This will help us reach more dealerships and introduce them to the competitive financing we provide," Pierson added.

Lee Domingue, chief executive officer of indirect lending at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, maintained that "as Gateway One expands its reach nationally, AppOne is uniquely positioned to support its growth efforts by connecting Gateway with independent dealers and helping the company mitigate risk.

"At the same time, this relationship provides our dealer customers with access to a strong lender in the prime and near-prime markets," Domingue concluded.
