LOS ANGELES — Westlake Financial Services revealed Monday its choices for the top auctions for the second quarter.

The title of Top Overall Auction went to Norwalk Auto Auction followed by Manheim Nevada — which had previously held the top spot for four consecutive quarters.

Besides strong sale results, Norwalk was recognized for excellent service, Westlake noted.

“The staff at Norwalk makes my job much easier by going above and beyond,” noted Brad Hall, regional auction representative at Westlake.

Moving on, ABC Birmingham managed to hold onto its position as Top Service Auction.

Dirk Grammel, Westlake regional auction representative, noted, “They (ABC Birmingham) are my most consistent auction for vehicle processing and sale preparation.”

Next, the Dealers Auto Auction of Idaho continued to top the rankings in Westlake’s Dealer Loyalty Program, winning the title of Top Loyalty Program Auction.

Bill Walters, vice president of remarketing for Westlake noted, “We have a strong partnership with Dealers Idaho through the Loyalty Program.”

New this quarter, the company also added a category for Most Improved Auction.

“We wanted to recognize the auction that showed the best overall improvement throughout the quarter,” stressed Walters.

ADESA Colorado Springs took this position due to solid improvement in sale results and strong service grades, which contributed to its overall performance, noted company officials.

Westlake president Ian Anderson also offered congratulations to all of the top auctions: “As we head into the second half, we look forward to working with all of our auction partners into making 2011 a record year.

“A hat tip to our Q2 top auctions and congratulations to ADESA Colorado Springs for their charge up the rankings,” he concluded.
