MELBOURNE, Fla. — Five Star Specialty Programs, a division of Crump Insurance Services and part of Crump Group, revealed today that coverage for its dealers insurance program now encompasses 43 states.

The seven states excluded from DEALERsure are Alaska, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey and Rhode Island, as well as the District of Columbia.

Officials recapped DEALERsure is a multi-line program that can provide coverage for rural and suburban franchised and independent dealerships.

Retail agents submit one application for coverage, and a quote is provided to the retail agent with the 5Star appointed market for that state.

DEALERsure is a multi-line property and casualty program with coverage such as garage liability, dealer E&O, fire legal liability, hired auto and other products.

The company indicated target markets for this program are broad. Besides vehicle dealers, coverage is available for consignment sales, electric auto sales, golf cart dealers, motorcycle dealers, RV dealers, small auto auctions/wholesale dealers and trailer dealers.

Officials added repair shops for these dealerships are also eligible.

In discussing the expanded territory for this program, Five Star Specialty Programs senior vice president Michael Oliver emphasized the geographical extension of the program was made possible by a special arrangement.

"We've had inquiries from our retail agents ever since we started this program to provide coverage in more states. We will continue to work with carriers to expand further," Oliver stated.
