CARY, N.C. — Looking to mimic the great success of sister publication Auto Remarketing on LinkedIn, SubPrime Auto Finance News recently launched a group on the business social media website.

Cherokee Automotive Group editor Jennifer Reed believes the platform can be an outlet to generate beneficial conversation about the ever-changing world of vehicle loans, finance companies, federal regulation and more.

"Vehicle financing, especially in the non-prime segment, can be complicated," Reed declared. "SubPrime Auto Finance News has been the source finance executives, dealers and other industry leaders have turned to when wanting the latest information and trends.

"LinkedIn is another way of continuing our mission," she added.

Earlier this year, Auto Remarketing surpassed 2,000 members within its LinkedIn group, and its subgroup dedicated to the Canadian market is gaining traction, as well.

"As with much of the rapid growth in social networking, Auto Remarketing's growth on LinkedIn is following that trend and connecting the media properties to many, many people who wouldn't normally be interacting with our media, events — and importantly — our advertisers," stated Bill Zadeits, publisher of Auto Remarketing and SubPrime Auto Finance News and president of Cherokee Automotive Group.

"With the inside track on news and information coming from our media properties via RSS feeds and pertinent information contributed by other members, the 2,000-plus executives who are part of the Auto Remarketing LinkedIn group are on the front line of the industry," Zadeits continued.

In the near feature, CAG also plans to roll out another group on LinkedIn devoted to its newest endeavor: Re3 — Repossession, Recovery, Remarketing.
