HANOVER, Md. — Hudson Cook LLP recently added eight new
attorneys including six new partners and established offices in Tennessee,
Massachusetts and Maine.
Opening the practice's new office in Portland, Maine, are
new partners Lori Desjardins and Ryan Stinneford, along with new associate Frank
Bishop Jr., who all are formerly with Pierce Atwood LLP.
Tom Quinn, also formerly with Pierce Atwood LLC, joined Hudson
Cook as a partner and opened an office in Fall River, Mass.
Ron Gorsline, Justin Hosie and Blake Sims, all new partners
and all formerly with Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C., joined Hudson Cook
and opened an office in Chattanooga, Tenn.
David Hicks also joined the Tennessee office as an
associate.
In highlighting the background of the new legal personnel,
Hudson Cook noted Desjardins brings extensive experience in bank regulatory
compliance involving deposit, credit, non-deposit investment products, cash
management products and service agreements.
Meanwhile, Stinneford's practice includes state and federal
regulatory compliance and bank regulatory matters, including all aspects of
consumer lending, deposit products, and credit, debit and prepaid cards and
electronic payment systems. His experience also includes advising clients in
all industries on marketing, advertising, privacy and data security issues.
Furthermore, Bishop assists national and state financial
institutions with compliance issues including deposit, credit and non-deposit
investment products and services, as well as electronic banking services.
In Massachusetts, Hudson Cook mentioned Quinn advises banks
and non-depository financial service companies on their compliance with state
and federal regulations affecting consumer lending, deposit products and
privacy matters.
Finally at the new Tennessee office, the firm indicated Gorsline
focuses his practice on consumer financial services and regulatory compliance.
He advises financial institutions and non-bank financial institutions on
open-end and closed-end credit, money transmission, prepaid cards, electronic
payments, and other financial service products.
Hosie's practice focuses on federal and state regulatory
compliance for Internet lenders, small dollar lenders, title lenders,
installment lenders, check cashers, money service businesses, prepaid card
providers, credit service organizations, and other financial innovators.
Sims focuses his practice on federal and state regulatory
compliance. He advises consumer financial services companies and their
third-party vendors on various products and services, including secured and
unsecured loans, open and closed-end credit, card products, electronic
payments, and other credit products.
Hicks focuses his practice on federal and state regulatory
compliance for consumer financial services companies.
