J.D. Byrider, Car-Mart Open New BHPH Stores
BENTONVILLE, Ark., and CARMEL, Ind. — Both America's
Car-Mart and J.D. Byrider added to their networks of buy-here, pay-here
dealerships as one company strengthened its footprint in its home state while
the other operation ventured into new territory.
The 120th dealership in Car-Mart's network is located in Bethel
Heights, Ark., raising the level in the state where the company is based to 38 dealerships.
Car-Mart president and chief executive officer William "Hank"
Henderson indicated this new dealership will be operated under the company's
Discount Auto brand and will be managed by Eric Cynova.
"Our growth continues, and it is truly amazing to look back
and realize that our very first dealership was opened in Rogers, Ark., way back
in 1981," Henderson said. "We have a proud history and a bright future. Our
plans are to continue to expand our business to more cities like Bethel Heights
as we grow.
"Bethel Heights is our sixth new dealership for this fiscal
year. We presently have four new locations secured, which will keep us on track
for 10 for the full fiscal year," added Henderson, who noted that the company
will report the results from the third quarter of its fiscal year this week.
Meanwhile, J.D. Byrider opened its first location in Nebraska,
establishing a new dealership in Omaha on L Street's "automotive row" near 55th
Street.
While the lot is the first J.D. Byrider franchise in the
Cornhusker State, it's the seventh for owners Russ Larson and Jeff Lee, who
have been named J.D. Byrider's "Franchisee of the Year" for seven consecutive
years.
"We are extremely optimistic about the opportunity to
establish ourselves in Omaha," said Larson, who also owns J.D. Byrider
dealerships in Alabama, Iowa and Missouri. "I understand the impact a J.D.
Byrider dealership can have on economic development, especially for L Street,
and we are committed to achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction."
The new Omaha location is also J.D. Byrider's first
dealership to open in 2013. In 2012, the company opened 14 new dealerships
across the United States. J.D. Byrider now has 147 locations in 31 states with
plans to open additional dealerships later this year.
