3 More California Credit Unions Join cuautocoupon Network
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Officials from cuautocoupon — a company
aimed at driving organic auto loan growth for credit unions while fostering
stronger relationships with dealerships — recently announced the signing of
three new California credit unions.
The company's growing network in the Golden State now includes
11 credit unions and an estimated 700,000 members statewide.
Nationwide, cuautocoupon's network has grown since early
2011 to 18 credit unions with more than 1.3 million members.
New enrollees include:
—California Credit Union, with more than 71,000 members and more
than 13 locations throughout Los Angeles County.
—American First Credit Union with $513 million in assets and
serving more than 41,000 members in Orange County.
—Vons Credit Union with 42,000 members thanks to an expansion
in 2001 and now serving customers in San Diego, San Fernando Valley, Arcadia,
and Sante Fe Springs.
The trio joins the following credit unions in the cuautocoupon program: Kinecta Federal Credit Union in Manhattan
Beach; Western FCU, also in Manhattan Beach; the Credit Union of Southern
California in Brea; South Western FCU in La Habra; Lake Forest-based Eagle
Community Credit Union; Calcom FCU in Torrance; Mattel FCU in El Segundo; and
City Of Downey FCU in Downey.
"Having just returned
from CUNA's Government Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C., one of the
bigger takeaways from many credit union executives is their challenge to create
loan demand while seeking new and innovative methods to capture greater market
share," cuautocoupon president Robert O'Hara said.
"We partner with forward-thinking credit unions nationwide
that aim to create a market and control their own destiny rather than those
that wait for the market to come to them," O'Hara went on to say.
