CENTENNIAL, Colo. — CU Direct Connect announced this week
that it has signed an agreement with Sonic Automotive to be a preferred lender
for the dealer group's stores in Colorado.

Officials indicated the agreement became effective on Aug.
1.

CU Direct Connect, through its more than 34 member credit
unions, is collectively one of the largest auto lenders in Colorado. Sonic recently
expanded its presence in Colorado through the acquisition of two franchise
dealerships, which also took place in August.

"We are proud to be a preferred lender for Sonic Automotive
as the program is great for the consumer members of our participating credit unions
and will generate incremental business for Sonic as well, making this a win-win
for both organizations," CUDC president and chief executive officer Blair
Korschun said.
