USAA gives first of 4 vehicles this year to military veterans
On Sunday, USAA made the first of four vehicle donations to veterans and their families as part of a project with Recycled Rides that’s orchestrated by the National Auto Body Council (NABC).
USAA gifted the first of four vehicles in San Diego. The employees at Fix Auto Poway volunteered their time to restore the vehicle. The recipient was nominated by Support the Enlisted Project (STEP).
USAA’s mission is to serve active-duty service members, veterans and their families. Recipients have been nominated by nonprofit organizations to receive a vehicle.
With the partnership of the NABC — a non-profit committed to serving their communities and many in the collision repair industry — vehicles are repaired and donated to the veterans who have been chosen.
Each NABC Recycled Ride has been meticulously restored and inspected to ensure safety and reliability.
“We are honored to continue our support for veterans and their families through the NABC Recycled Rides program,” USAA Property and Casualty President Randy Termeer said in a news release. “These vehicles represent more than just transportation; they symbolize our gratitude for the sacrifices made by our service members.”
