Michele Gutierrez was previously part of the team at AutoPayPlus while she was an F&I director in Laredo, Texas. After spending time with General Motors, AutoPayPlus announced on Thursday that Gutierrez now is back with the organization as a regional account manager.

Gutierrez began her career in the automotive industry in 1996, inspired by her grandfather’s Oldsmobile dealership. In 2001, she transitioned into logistics, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the automotive supply chain by brokering freight across North America.

Gutierrez then joined US Equity Advantage, where she covered 23 states working closely with dealers and finance managers to offer biweekly car payments.

In 2014, Gutierrez left US Equity Advantage and joined GM as an account development manager for CBGC Protection Plans. Following a decade with the automaker, AutoPayPlus said Gutierrez “is thrilled to return to a company that feels like home.”

The company is asking Gutierrez to drive AutoPayPlus’ success in the Texas and Oklahoma region, leveraging her extensive experience and deep industry knowledge.

“Not only does Michele have diverse and impactful experience but also a proven track record of success and an admirable passion for the business. We are excited to welcome her back to the USEA family, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make,” AutoPayPlus CEO Robert Steenbergh said in a news release.

Reflecting on her career, Gutierrez said, “I am incredibly excited to return to a company that feels like home and to take on the role of regional account manager for Texas and Oklahoma. My passion for the automotive industry, inspired by my grandfather’s Oldsmobile dealership, has driven me through every stage of my career, from selling Buicks to managing logistics and leading regional sales teams.

“This new chapter brings my journey full circle, and I’m eager to apply my experience to continue serving our customers and partners with the same dedication and enthusiasm that has guided me throughout my career. The opportunities ahead are thrilling, and I look forward to making a meaningful impact with AutoPayPlus,” she went on to say.
