Autocorp.ai has unveiled a new weapon in the war against fraud.

The Ottawa-based automotive retail technology provider announced the launch of AVA ID Verified, an identity verification system created to “wage war against the rising tide of fraud targeting dealerships,” the company said, helping dealerships protect their business, strengthen partnerships and improve customer trust.

“Fraud is a growing threat in the automotive industry and dealerships need to arm themselves with better tools,” Autocorp.ai chief revenue officer Kole Hicks said. “With AVA ID Verified, we are declaring war on fraudsters, equipping dealerships with the best defenses available.”

Autocorp.ai said AVA ID Verified includes facial recognition and ID scanning, using artificial intelligence and biometric technology to quickly verify customer identities in real time; the ability to identify fake and stolen IDs; and integrations that fit into existing dealership workflows to enhance security without disrupting daily operations.

It is also designed to enhance regulatory compliance with Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering requirements, and improve the customer experience, the company said.

“With more than $1.2 billion lost to vehicle theft and fraud last year alone, dealerships need advanced solutions to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated criminals,” Autocorp.ai CEO Andrew Lemoine said. “AVA ID Verified provides the security and speed needed to win this battle.”
