New leadership now in place at Chase Auto
Chase Auto opened 2025 with changes at the top of its leadership team.
The finance company said Leslie Wims-Morris now is CEO of Chase Auto, reporting to Marianne Lake, who is CEO of consumer and community banking (CCB).
Wims-Morris replaced Peter Muriungi, who now is CEO of Chase Connected Commerce, reporting to Allison Beer, CEO of Chase Card Services and Connected Commerce.
In her most recent role, Wims-Morris was the president of private label captive finance for Chase Auto. The bank said she built and scaled the white-labeled lending business with global manufacturers, materially increasing the business, while also delivering franchise value to partners.
Prior to her current role, Chase highlighted, Wims-Morris was head of corporate development for CCB where she led the development and launch of strategic partnerships, acquisitions and investments with leading consumer, technology, payments, e-commerce and fintech companies.
Chase mentioned Wims-Morris’ career spans more than 25 years in numerous leadership positions, including with American Express.
In his new role, Chase said Muriungi will lead the commerce enablement business, including payments and lending Innovation, as well as travel, offers and shopping and work across lifestyle, experiences and content, which includes Chase Dining.
Chase pointed out Muriungi will also continue to evolve the service model to deepen and scale the engagement with consumer and small business customers.
As CEO of auto, Chase highlighted Muriungi led the diversification of the business and invested in core functions including operations, risk and securitization capabilities. He has also held a number of leadership positions since joining Chase in 2013, including roles within home lending.
