Dealer news: Go Auto’s Team Ford earns community service award; OpenRoad opens 7th collision center
A Go Auto dealership has been selected for one of Ford’s highest awards.
Team Ford in Edmonton, one of more than 60 dealerships operated by Go Auto, has been named a recipient of the automaker’s Edsel B. Ford II Salute to Dealer Award, recognizing significant contributions to the community.
Go Auto said Team Ford is one of just six dealerships worldwide to receive the award.
“This recognition is a testament to the incredible work of our team and our commitment to creating meaningful change in the communities where we operate,” said Jared Priestner, the dealership group’s owner. “We’re humbled to receive Ford’s Edsel B. Ford II Salute to Dealer Award and look forward to continuing to support our community with innovative programs and initiatives that make a real difference.”
Go Auto and its dealerships have contributed more than $24 million to the communities they serve, including fully funding Thrive Elementary, a school addressing “opportunity gaps” faced by families in Edmonton by offering a STEM-enhanced Alberta Education curriculum, extended day programming, school supplies, hot meals and more at no cost.
Other initiatives cited by Go Auto include a $3 million, 5-year commitment to Kids with Cancer Society, along with donating a new vehicle in partnership with NHL star Connor McDavid; a “Fuels the Schools” program that delivered more than 500,000 hot, healthy meals to elementary school children in Edmonton; and a $500,000 donation to the Edmonton Public School Foundation’s Fresh Hoops program to renovate basketball courts, plus a commitment to match all donations up to $500,000.
