TORONTO -

The Ford F-150 is continuing its reign as the most-appraised vehicle in Canada.

According to the latest Dealertrack Tradetracker Used Vehicle Market Report, the top five vehicles appraised in Canada last month were the F-150, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic sedan, Ford Escape and the GMC Sierra 1500.

Year to date, the only difference is that the Civic and the Sierra were reversed.

The Tradetracker report examined the following categories:

— Top domestic vehicles appraised by domestic dealers

— Top import vehicles appraised by import dealers

— Top domestic vehicles appraised by import dealers

— Top import vehicles appraised by domestic dealers

On a monthly, three-month, and year-to-date basis, the top vehicles in all four categories were the F-150, Corolla, Escape and Mazda3.

The report examined vehicles that were being looked at by trade-in owners across four measures:

—Top domestic vehicles looked at by domestic owners

—Top import vehicles looked at by import owners

—Top domestic vehicles looked at by import owners

—Top import vehicles looked at by domestic owners

Last month, the F-150 was tops in the first and third categories; the Corolla was tops in the other two.

In fact, on a three-month and year-to-date basis, the F-150 claimed the top spot in the first and third categories, with the Toyota RAV4 leading in the other two.

Brand of the month

Dealertrack’s brand of the month for October was Dodge. On a monthly, three-month and year-to-date basis, the top three vehicles looked at by trade-in Dodge dealerships were the 1500, the Jeep Cherokee and the Dodge Grand Caravan.

The top three off-make vehicles appraised by Dodge dealers last month were Grand Cherokee, the 1500 and the Mazda3. Year-to-date, the list was F-150, 1500, and Grand Cherokee.
