Kot Auto Group’s growth plan has taken another step forward.

The British Columbia-based dealership group expanded to 10 locations with the acquisition of Sunrise Ford in 100 Mile House, B.C. The dealership, which includes a service department and body shop, is Kot Auto’s first Ford store and first with a body shop, as well as its first location in the South Cariboo region of central British Columbia.

In a news release, Kot Auto said the new addition is part of its strategic plan to grow to 15 dealerships by 2029.

“We are excited to bring an additional domestic brand to our portfolio and allow for more opportunity with our team and our customers,” said Kot Auto president John Kot, who noted the success of the group’s first domestic-brand store, added in 2022, was a factor in the latest acquisition.

“We’ve seen significant growth with Woodgrove Chrysler over the past two years,” he said. “I’m confident that with the Kot Auto Group, alongside longtime general manager Scott Muir, who has joined as partner of Sunrise Ford, we will achieve exceptional results.”

Kot Auto said it will bring its commitment to community involvement to 100 Mile House with initiatives such as the Kot Coat Drive, the Pay It Forward campaign, in which John Kot and his wife Trina each employee $500 to donate to a charity of their choosing, and Operation 100, which donates $100 per vehicle sold to a local charity.
