Policaro Group breaks ground for 2 new facilities
The Policaro Group announced it has broken ground on a brand new Policaro Acura site, as well as a new facility for its Northwest Lexus relocation.
The dealer group is calling its new Acura facility especially “innovative”, designed to further modernize the auto industry and brand name in Canada.
Policaro Acura turned 35 in 2022, and it has the acclaim of being one of the first Acura dealerships in Canada. The Acura store has moved to a location an easy drive for Brampton residents, located right off highway 410. This facility represents Policaro’s efforts to bring its Acura brand into the future.
Francesco Policaro, CEO of Policaro Group, says he looks on the Acura brand fondly, as the dealership executive’s first car was an Acura Integra GS.
“In the 35 years since Policaro Acura opened, the world has changed significantly, and the market for luxury cars has seen steady growth,” he said in a news release. “This is why it brings me great joy to announce that Policaro Acura is a part of the Acura Facility Modernization Program. We are excited to see what the future will bring.”
The new location, which is at 36 Ace Drive in Brampton, comes to approximately 35,000 square feet and spans a 2.8-acre site. The site specs include a four-car flex customer interactive center, a 13-bay service department, an eight-car service reception, a fully automatic car wash, three detailing bays and advanced EV Charging Infrastructure.
“Policaro Acura has offered precision crafted performance since the beginning of Acura in Canada and they will continue the journey forward with a new modern facility to welcome Acura’s electrified future and our next generation of vehicles,” said Jean Marc Leclerc, president and CEO of Honda Canada, in a press release.
Northwest Lexus moves to Brampton
The Northwest Lexus groundbreaking, as well as the Acura facility ceremony, was attended by dignitaries from Brampton and Ontario, as well as Lexus executives.
The new Brampton location shows the dealer group’s focused growth and investment in the community, as well as its long-term partnership with Lexus Canada.
In the news release , Policaro said, “We are very excited about the relocation and expansion of Lexus … We look forward to seeing how our partnership progresses in the coming years. This new location will expand the region’s luxury automotive market and bring the thrill of driving closer to home.”
The dealership provided some specs on the project, as well. The two-level building will be located at 42 Ace Drive in Brampton. The facility sits on 4.2 acres, and when completed will be over 60,000 square feet. It will also include a 13-car showroom, a four-car new-vehicle delivery, a 10-car service reception, automatic car wash, four detailing bays, a 19-bay service department, an advanced EV charging infrastructure, a customer lounge and a rooftop terrace.
Recent Policaro Group moves
Highlighting a few additional recent moves from the Policaro Group, back in May, the company most recently announced the opening of a temporary pop-up store ahead of the opening of the future Porsche Centre Kitchener-Waterloo. From the time of release in May, the pop-up concept is operating for the next six months at 533 King Street North in Waterloo, Ontario.
The pop-up retail concept features amenities with a design center offering Porsche exclusive manufacturer items where customers can personalize their Porsche in a fitting lounge. It will also allow customers the ability to interact with the brand and begin a relationship with the team before the opening of Porsche Centre Kitchener-Waterloo.
Back in the fall of 2022, Policaro announced plans for the construction of a new Porsche Centre in the Niagara Region. This is the group’s third Porsche Centre, joining locations in Oakville and Kitchener-Waterloo, strengthening the Group’s partnership with Porsche Cars Canada. Set to open in 2024, the new facility will be located at 11 Export Avenue in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Lastly, in 2022, the dealer group also expanded its luxury portfolio with the purchase of Jaguar Waterloo, Land Rover Waterloo, and Volvo Cars Waterloo.
