Safe-Guard to assume administration of Subaru Canada protection products, including CPO

Subaru Canada and Safe-Guard Products International announced a multi-year partnership this week that’s designed to broaden the automaker’s vehicle protection programs throughout Canada.
As part of the partnership, Safe-Guard — which is a platform provider of private-label protection products in the automotive, RV, marine and powersports industries — will take on administration of the Subaru Protection Plan portfolio. That includes Subaru Canada’s existing protection programs and products.
The partnership will begin a phased rollout on June 1. During the first phase, Safe-Guard will take on responsibilities for the Subaru Protection Plan program, including vehicle service contracts, certified pre-owned and prepaid maintenance.
The second phase is slated to begin late this year, during which Safe-Guard will take on ancillary protection products like tire and wheel protection.
