For independent dealers who want to work with NextGear Capital, there’s now an app for that.

The company announced on Thursday that it has developed a mobile app for its account portal with plans to unveil it at the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) annual convention next week in Las Vegas.

Key features of the app include:

— A credit utilization view prominently displayed on the main dashboard that can give clients a color-coded breakdown of their floor plan by number of days to help them understand their aged inventory at a glance and discern which vehicles to prioritize.

—A VIN scanner that is unique to the mobile app. Using technology created by vAuto, it can enable clients to scan a VIN and view valuations as well as floor plan a vehicle on the spot.

—The option for push notifications to remind clients about upcoming action items such as when payments or titles are due.

—Biometric authentication which offers secure account access.

NextGear Capital said it collaborated with more than 500 dealer clients who downloaded the app during the pilot phase to test drive it and provide feedback. The company said adjustments to the app based on input from these dealers includes extending the calendar views and improving payment displays.

Following the launch, NextGear Capital said regularly planned updates will ensure the app continues evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of independent dealers. Future enhancements are also in development to incorporate additional self-service features and benefits into the app.
