AFSA Makes Statistical State Map Available Online
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Positive feedback pushed the American Financial Services Association to make an interactive map of state-specific information on foreclosures, employment, legislation and more available at its website.
AFSA indicated this resource not only contains these crucial statistics, regulations and legislative oversight, but organizes it all on a state-by-state basis to cater to a specific request.
Visitors can find recent foreclosure, population and unemployment statistics for every state, plus Guam and Puerto Rico. Links are available to the sites of each state's legislature, licensing department, banking department, governor and representatives, as well as links to national regulator associations.
Association officials also pointed out the resource includes county jurisdiction maps, the largest cities in each state and even fun facts, such as "West Virginia is the only state in the Union to have acquired its sovereignty by proclamation of the president of the United States."
Danielle Fagre Arlowe, AFSA's senior vice president for state government affairs, emphasized how critical this resource can be for any dealership or lender that conducts business connected with consumer credit.
"AFSA designed this interactive map to be a one-stop shop for individuals seeking information on a specific state or who want to compare statistics among states," Arlowe stated.
"We wanted to enable a broader audience to benefit from this content-rich resource," she added.
The map can be found through the association's new website at www.afsamap.org.
