WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — In an effort to drive consumer demand, BMW has launched a special finance payment program on select models in its lineup.

Basically, BMW will take care of the first two payments (up to $750 per month/$1,500 maximum) on models financed via BMW Financial Services.

This incentive is available on 18 different BMW vehicles, including several options among 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series and X5 models.

Moreover, this deal can be combined with current APR financing offers from BMW, which range from 0.9 percent APR to 3.9 percent.

On the 328i and the 528i models, for instance, 0.9 percent financing for up to 60 months is available through March 31.

The program began on Feb. 4 and is scheduled to last until March 2 on remaining 2008 models. For 2009 models, it will end on March 31.

According to officials, the automaker isn't planning on extending these offers later in the year.

"We are sending a signal to car buyers that this is a great time to shop for a new vehicle," stated Peter Miles, executive vice president of operations for BMW of North America.

"With its unique four-year, 50,000-mile free maintenance program and good fuel economy BMW has always had a good value story," he continued. "And with these finance offers on top, there has never been a better time to get into a new BMW."
