ATLANTA — Rick Potter, president of CAR Financial Services, a full-service financial institution dedicated to the buy-here, pay-here industry, announced several management changes this week.

Taking on the position of chief operating officer and chief financial officer is Mark Lewis.

Lewis joined CAR financial in November 2004, and has previous experience with Ernst & Young, as well as the internal law firm.

He will take over daily operations of CFS's centralized collection, treasury, compliance and accounting. Lewis is located in Atlanta, and was part of the original CompuCredit Management team that was involved in the purchase of CFS from Wells Fargo Financial in 2005.

In another management change, Chris Tiller has accepted the position of National Sales Director/AVP for the organization.

He has relocated to Atlanta and will have responsibility for all of CFS's field sales resources and business development for the 45 states in which CFS is presently active.

Tiller has extensive subprime experience and has managed operations for Toyota Motor Credit, AutoPrime and CFS/Wells Fargo Financial, Potter pointed out.

"The promotion of these two resources is consistent with CFS's strategy to refocus on providing financial solutions that are in concert with our dealers' needs, while at the same time allowing CFS to ‘right-size' our business model to manage changes in the industry" explained Potter.

CFS is a leading portfolio purchaser/servicer who has been in business since 1993.

Additionally, CFS is a charter member of the National Alliance of Buy-Here, Pay-Here Dealers, and an active participant in the National Independent Auto Dealers Association and most independent auto dealer state associations.
