CARY, N.C. — CarMark Certified Pre-Owned, a leading
third-party vehicle certification program, recently announced that it is
expanding its offerings in order to provide more flexibility for its dealer
base and additional options for consumers.

The CarMark Certified program, which is powered nationally
by APCO/EasyCare, includes two types of limited warranties — a
72-month/100-mile powertrain limited warranty and a 12-month/12,000-mile
powertrain limited warranty. Both warranties were originally available only to
vehicles that were less than current model plus five years old.

Responding to dealer requests, CarMark Certified now offers
the 12/12 warranty for all eligible vehicles up to current model plus eight
years and less than 100,000 miles, provided they pass the thorough inspection
requirements of the CarMark program. The 72/100 warranty remains available for
vehicles up to current model plus five years.

The 12/12 and the 72/100 warranties both still include the
key CarMark benefits to the consumer, including 24/7 emergency roadside
assistance, tire and wheel road hazard protection, rental car reimbursement,
trip interruption protection, and more. In addition, the warranties offer
add-on and upgrade opportunities for dealers and customers.

"We believe that the expansion of the 12/12 warranty option
enables dealers to tailor the CarMark Certified program to meet their unique
needs," said Bill Zadeits, managing director for CarMark. "There are many
quality vehicles that are slightly older than what our previous requirements
allowed, so this opens up the door for CarMark dealers to certify more
top-notch cars and provide added peace of mind to customers interested in those
vehicles."
