Compli, AAS Partner to Expand California Services
PORTLAND, Ore. — Compli and Auto Advisory Services announced they are collaborating to expand Compli's Dealership Compliance Management System with additional products and services to help California dealerships effectively manage the broadening compliance requirements.
AAS and Compli said they plan to provide products that address consumer auto sales, F&I and the California Department of Motor Vehicles compliance requirements. In addition, the Administrative Content Library of the Compli DCMS will be expanded with AAS's content on crucial California and federal regulatory information.
These new add-on products for Compli's DCMS will give California dealerships instant, online access to AAS-designed programs, and help them more effectively manage expanding compliance requirements while mitigating the risks and costs of noncompliance, executives explained.
"AAS has a reputation of providing outstanding products and services in the areas of auto sales, finance, advertising and DMV requirements," said Robert Miller, Compli co-founder and specialist on the California dealer market. "By collaborating with AAS to make these resources available through the Compli DCMS, we'll improve the ability of California auto dealers to address the vast array of state and federal legal and regulatory requirements affecting them.
"Beyond compliance with obvious regulations, such as those for employment practices, dealers are responsible for regulatory compliance in many other crucial aspects of their businesses. As the leader in the U.S. dealership compliance market, Compli is quite pleased to add a partner of AAS's caliber to help dealerships in California manage their complex compliance requirements and mitigate their risks," Miller continued.
AAS said it also offers on-site compliance audits, on-site training, in addition to compliance manuals and publications. The company also supports a compliance hotline. AAS products and services span California and federal compliance topics, including:
—Car Buyer's Bill of Rights
—Compliant Desking Practices
—Negative Equity/Trade Over Allowances

According to Rob Cohen, president of Auto Advisory Services, "We work with more than 600 California dealers, and one thing I continually advise them is not to jump on board with just any vendor. After working closely with the people at Compli and seeing what they've accomplished, I am convinced they offer a compliance solution that is unparalleled in the industry.
"Combining AAS's compliance expertise with Compli's automated DCMS gives California auto dealerships — which face more regulation than dealers in any other state — an effective means to achieve compliance," he added.
