PORTLAND, Ore. — Compli recently named Mark Lawler as senior vice president and chief technology officer.

Lawler comes to Compli from Primavera Systems, which is leader in project management software. At Primavera he served as vice president of ProSight Product Strategy. Primavera recently acquired ProSight, which Lawler co-founded.

Before the acquisition, Lawler served as CTO at ProSight, which specialized in defining and creating products targeted at the portfolio management and federal IT compliance markets. The company's customers included the California State Automobile Association, Hershey, Panasonic, the U.S. Treasury and other leading organizations.

As CTO at ProSight, executives said Lawler helped lead the company from start-up to profitability, with $25 million in revenue, 300-percent compounded annual growth rates and more than 100 employees.

Before co-founding ProSight, Lawler was the director of research and development for Intersolv PVCS. At Intersolv PVCS, which is a leader in change management software, Lawler re-built the R&D group and recast the company's entire product line, making it one of the first to leverage the Internet, according to officials.

Before that, executives reported that Lawler held several management and technical positions at Symantec Corp., including architect and director of R&D for the security business unit and its flagship product, Norton AntiVirus.

"Mark brings tremendous experience to Compli and has a strong vision for the future of our market-leading technology and compliance management products for U.S. auto dealerships," said Ken Thrasher, chairman and chief executive officer of Compli.

"Mark has unmatched experience in defining innovative software systems and products, and combines technical acumen with excellent management credentials. Our customers will truly benefit from the exciting new technologies to be developed under Mark's leadership," Thrasher continued.
