DriveItNow Unveils Soft Pull Credit Analysis Technology
CINCINNATI — Automobile Consumer Services and DriveItNow Payment Marketing Service recently collaborated on "soft pull" credit analyzing technology.
Executives explained how the process works when a consumer clicks the DriveItNow payment button that's displayed on vehicle search listings, dealer Web sites or eBay auctions. The process allows potential buyers to see payment options based on their actual credit without affecting their credit score.
DriveItNow noted that it also has partnered with Auto Equity, which provides the "soft pull" credit data and filtering. The company stated available financing options are presented without any human intervention.
Furthermore, officials emphasized that not only does the DriveItNow "soft pull" credit technology have no negative effect on a consumer's credit score, but it's also compliant with all matters associated with Red Flag, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
"Most Web sites that offer auto financing require consumers to provide their credit score or complete a lengthy credit application, including Social Security number," detailed Rusty Platt, director of DriveItNow Payment Marketing.
"With DriveItNow ‘soft pull technology, consumers simply provide their name and address to see instant payments and rates," Platt continued.
"Dealers who offer financing through the DriveItNow Payment Marketing service benefit by receiving pre-qualified and pre-sold customers," he went on to say. "Our technology provides the necessary link to complete an online finance transaction between the buyer and seller."
