Fiserv, DriveTime Broaden Partnership to Give Customers More Payment Options
BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Fiserv and DriveTime recently expanded their partnership so that now instead of just having the ability to pay at a dealership location and online or via phone, customers can now also pay their auto loan bills at more than 20,000 CheckFreePay agent locations, which includes supermarkets, retailers, drugstores and convenience stores.
Through this new offering, DriveTime is basically providing its customers the ability to make their auto loan payments at locations close to where they live and work.
DriveTime already has a five-year relationship with Fiserv that provides customers with the options of paying online via DriveTime.com or through phone.
The auto group has seen its customers embrace this new payment option, with bill payments processed by CheckFreePay agents more than doubling each month over the last several months.
Basically, payments made through CheckFreePay agents are delivered electronically, helping to ensure a fast and secure transaction for DriveTime customers, according to officials.
"DriveTime is dedicated to providing an industry leading experience for our customers, including options and convenience for making payments," stated DriveTime spokesperson Jon Ehlinger.
"We chose the CheckFreePay walk-in bill payment service from Fiserv because of the expansive network of bill-pay locations, as well as the speed and security of payments the service facilitates," Ehlinger added.
Meanwhile, Jardon Bouska, Fiserv's president of biller solutions, added, "Fiserv has a long-standing relationship with DriveTime, and we both recognize the need to offer customers a variety of payment options to better serve their needs. We know that one in five people prefer to pay their bills in person, often because they want to pay bills with cash and receive a receipt as an immediate proof of payment.
"DriveTime customers can now benefit from the convenience of paying their bills at the agent of their choice, and not only at a DriveTime location," Bouska went on to say.
