CARMEL, Ind. — J.D. Byrider selected a new vice president of store operations earlier this week. Taking on the task of managing all aspects of J.D. Byrider's 13 company-owned locations is former Wells Fargo executive Todd Gunderson.

Management stressed that Gunderson also will be responsible for sales, underwriting and risk management, collections, and service and inventory management.

"Our company locations are J.D. Byrider's flagship stores, and Todd will play an important role in ensuring the 13 locations are performing at their peak," explained Bill Brunner, chief financial officer of J.D. Byrider.

"We will put Todd's experience in managing large sales teams in the area of subprime auto financing to use in managing those locations," Brunner continued.

Prior to arriving at J.D. Byrider, Gunderson spent 15 years with Wells Fargo, where most recently he was a senior vice president of credit operations. Gunderson also directed five regional vice presidents in support of 700 employees in six operation centers and oversaw the pricing, underwriting, marketing and selling of subprime auto loan products for a $25 billion portfolio.

Another of Gunderson's posts at Wells Fargo was as a divisional vice president in indirect auto sales, where he oversaw nine regional managers in support of 110 staff members. Previously he also served Wells Fargo as an assistant vice president of indirect credit operations and as an area manager/branch manager.

"With the economy on an upswing, it's an exciting time to be in auto finance," Gunderson highlighted.

"As the leader in subprime auto financing, J.D. Byrider is on the cutting-edge of the industry, and I look forward to an exciting future," he added.
