This week, KeyPoint Credit Union — an institution based in Silicon Valley — launched an auto financing program specifically designed for individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) holders.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, an ITIN is a tax processing number only available for certain nonresident and resident aliens, their spouses and dependents who cannot get a Social Security Number.

KeyPoint said ITIN holders often face challenges in securing traditional financing and loans, so the credit reunion said they will now have the opportunity to finance their vehicle purchases through a locally based institution.

Key features of the ITIN Auto Loan Program include:

—Competitive interest rates: Enjoy rates that are competitive with those offered to Social Security Number holders.

—No credit history required

—Flexible terms

—Easy application process: Simplified application process with dedicated support from our experienced loan officers.

“We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their financial goals,” KeyPoint Credit Union CEO Brad Canfield said. “Our new auto loan program for ITIN holders is a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and support for all community members.”
