PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Haddad Auto's subprime finance department — Captain Credit — is growing so quickly that store management is shifting its location.

Originally based within Haddad Toyota, officials indicated that as of the end of this month, Captain Credit will be moving into the former Southgate Motors building at 25 W. Housatonic St. 

Haddad explained Captain Credit — started as a social media ad campaign — has taken the Berkshire County subprime market "by storm." The division has even spun off a pre-owned store that focuses on vehicles that retail below $12,000. 

Captain Credit's new location will be managed by Chris Cochran and Doug Hakkinen. Ken Kaczenski will be the finance manager. They said the store will run with two salespeople and is projected to sell 30 to 40 units per month.

"We have the connections to get anyone financing. It was just a question of finding them the right car," Cochran noted.

"Now with a pre-owned car store at our location, we should be making a lot of people very happy," Cocharn added.
