HANOVER, Md. — The National Automotive Finance Association announced it is planning a workshop called "Financing in the Expanding Non-Prime Auto Market — What's Happening?" The daylong event will be held Jan. 17 in Dallas.

The workshop will take place at AmeriCredit's office in Arlington, which is about 20 minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The NAF Association has invited a panel of experts to explore:

—Why finance companies are going after independent dealers

—Best practices for finance companies

—Emerging legal issues

—Changes and trends in non-prime: The dealer's perspective
