NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

During the last quarter of 2013, employees of Primeritus Financial Services stayed busy campaigning for destitute families needing food with their collections on behalf of Feeding America Second Harvest Food Bank, and giving special wishes to children with a life-threatening illness through donations to A Special Wish Foundation.

Primeritus chief executive officer Chuck Tapp highlighted that employees participated in an intra-office competition to collect food items for the Feeding America’s Second Harvest Food Bank.

“The response was heartfelt and larger than we anticipated with almost 3,200 food items donated to our local Second Harvest Food Bank chapter,” Tapp said.

Tapp described A Special Wish Foundation as another organization that is “close to our hearts, especially during the holidays.”

Tapp indicated Primeritus selected A Special Wish Foundation as one of several charities that received company donations throughout 2013.

Primeritus executive vice president Joe Mappes mentioned A Special Wish Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children and youths under the age of 21.

“We feel wishes are more than just a nice thing — they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time,” Mappes said. “Wishes impact everyone involved: Wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities.

“Whatever the odds, whatever the obstacle, wishes find a way to make the world better. Whenever possible, immediate family members are included in the granting of wishes, to maximize the joy and memories for the child,” he continued.

“Primeritus is both extremely glad and proud to support an organization that creates a place for children to be gifted with their dreams,” Mappes went on to say.
