FORT WORTH — Digital Recognition Network announced Wednesday that it has struck a deal with Regional Acceptance Corp., an affiliate of BB&T Corp., to provide its License Plate Recognition software.

Regional will basically use DRN's services as a part of its overall loss recovery strategy for locating skip and fraud vehicles.

"In a rapidly changing technology driven world, Digital Recognition Network's introduction of LPR technology has proven to be an invaluable aid in mitigating losses by locating collateral that was previously non-recoverable by traditional means and at great expense," explained Steven Smith, collections and support assist vice president.

"Unbiased technology service providers like Recovery Database Network and DRN have injected the world of risk management with a value-added resource. None of us have all the answers to eliminating losses, only the responsibility to manage them effectively with a combination of forward thinking strategies in which the goal is seeking change not to be different, but to be better," he continued.

Meanwhile, Cort DeHart, president of DRN, added, "We are extremely proud to receive the endorsement from Regional Acceptance Corp. and look forward to working with them to successfully implement their loss recovery strategy."

"We have worked hard to earn their business and, more importantly, their respect. This is an exciting and progressive achievement for both organizations," he continued.
