CINCINNATI — Swapalease.com reported on Tuesday that average
vehicle lease prices declined 2.0 percent year-over-year based on listings
entering the market during September.

The site determined prices on leases averaged $582.02 in
September, down from $593.66 in September of last year. These prices compare to
an average of $578.06 recorded during August.

Swapalease.com discovered Ford's popular Escape, Focus and
Fusion models all showed significant price jumps on monthly payments recorded
in September compared with the previous year.

Meanwhile, the least expensive lease listed during September
was a 2013 Smart Fortwo at $98 monthly. A Nissan Sentra registered second with
a monthly payment of $115.

The Swapalease.com marketplace records actual monthly
payments based on contracts from lessees who've listed their vehicles for
transfer each month.

Among today's most popular leased vehicles, the average
price of a Chevy Cruze saw the biggest year-over-year decline at 28.8 percent.
The average monthly price of a Cruze was recorded at $233.55 in September, down
from $328 a year ago.

The Volkswagen Jetta dropped 27.4 percent, registering a
monthly average of $243.36 in September compared with $335.29 a year ago.

For the second straight month, the Toyota Camry registered
the largest year-over-year price increase at 29.3 percent, with September
monthly averages recorded at $362.14 compared with $280.01 the previous year.

The Ford Escape jumped 26.1 percent year-over-year with an
average monthly payment of $344.22 in September compared with $272.87 the
previous year.

"It is a little surprising to see such noticeable price
jumps on all three popular Ford models, the Fusion, Escape and Focus," said
Scot Hall, executive vice president of Swapalease.com.

"Ford has made a strong effort to drive stronger leasing
programs since the recession, and many of our customers have enjoyed the
leasing experience through Ford," Hall added.
