DALLAS — Citing strong demand, Vehicle Acceptance Corp. announced it is bringing its buy-here, pay-here services to a new office in the Northwest.

VAC entered the Portland, Ore., market last year in anticipation of the branch opening, management explained.

"We are always looking for strong new markets and Portland is a very good fit for us strategically and logistically," said Sara Upton, chief operating officer.

The company's Portland territory includes the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming and Alaska.

"VAC is committed to being the BHPH dealer's finance department. Having a local presence, very qualified staffing and clear lines of communication with our dealers add considerable value that is unique in the marketplace," noted Jonathan Neubauer, chief executive officer.

According to the company, new dealers and account management for the Portland territory has now been transitioned from the Phoenix office.

Serving as regional manager of the new office is James Cook.

VAC specializes in providing BHPH dealer financial solutions. It has branch locations nationwide and is willing to do business with all used-vehicle dealers, management said.
