FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Rocky Mountain Tracking recently introduced a new Smart Tracker Payment Reminder Buzzer that will make it much harder for vehicle owners to forget about making payments.

The GPS tracking company that introduced the Smart Tracker anti-theft tracking device to the market has now turned its attention towards fixing what can be a crucial determent to low credit or no credit dealerships — missed payments.

The new Smart Tracker Payment Reminder Buzzer is an optional component of the Smart Tracker anti-theft device.

As soon as a payment has been skipped, dealers have the option of sending out a noisy reminder to customers that is hard to ignore.

After the vehicle owner makes a payment, the five-minute interval buzzing noise can be stopped. The new technology makes it close to impossible for a vehicle owner to forget about making a late car payment, according to officials. The dealer also has the option of sending payment alerts through phone, email and text, they added.

Buzzer activations and deactivations are made through RTM’s NavIQ software, which is the same software that allows dealers to track and recover the vehicle on-demand.
