NAPA, Calif. — Service contract provider AUL Corp. and subprime lender Ace Motor Acceptance Co. recently expanded their relationship to boost a program that's been available since 2009, Buy Here Pay Here in A Box.

AUL and AMAC created a vehicle service contract program designed specifically for the AMAC BHPH in A Box program in what officials called an unprecedented move in the BHPH financing space.

The AMAC BHPH in A Box program is available to dealers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. AMAC is forecasting expansion of this product into several neighboring states throughout this year.

"AUL truly appreciates the business relationship we have had with AMAC, and this new addition allows more dealers to offer vehicle service contract protection customers want," AUL chief operating officer Jimmy Atkinson said.
