Western Funding, a specialized consumer finance company and subsidiary of Westlake Financial Services, this week named Garrett Weyrich as its new vice president of sales and marketing.

Weyrich joins Western Funding with more than 17 years of auto finance experience. His background includes experience in indirect auto financing, bulk purchasing, floor plan financing and digital advertising.

“Western Funding has seen significant growth since resuming operations in 2014,” said Bret Pangborn, vice president of Western Funding. “Garrett has had multiple successes with companies of similar business models to WFI. We look forward to utilizing this experience, knowledge and leadership to enhance Western Funding’s continued growth.”

Weyrich started his career with US Bank Auto Remarketing, selling and financing off-lease vehicles to customers, dealers and wholesalers, before moving on to Wells Fargo Auto Finance, where he gained experience in bulk purchasing and point-of-sale financing.

Weyrich then moved on to Credit Acceptance Corp., where he helped build the state of Florida into one of its top volume-producing states as market area manager. He then helped drive the expansion of GO Financial into the Midwest as national sales manager in 2012.

“Garrett brings a lot of experience in auto finance that will help him be a great sales leader,” said Ian Anderson, Westlake Financial Holding Group President, who is part of the collection of executives set to be a part of the SubPrime Forum at Used Car Week on Nov 14-16 in Las Vegas. “That past knowledge will help Western Funding continue to grow in our competitive industry.”

Western Funding can provide dealers the opportunity to build a portfolio of accounts, and own the majority of the profits of each deal, without assigning the portfolio to Western Funding.

WFI’s Triple Pay program can give dealers three opportunities to receive payment on the same contract. Dealerships can maximize their profits by earning up to 81 percent of the interest and principal collected as the customer makes payments. Triple Pay is a product geared toward lower mileage and newer model year vehicles.
