LeasePlan USA announced Monday that one of its own has been elected as vice president of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance.

As the organization’s VP, LeasePlan USA’s director of remarketing Levi McCoy will serve on the board of directors, which meets regularly to discuss and resolve issues regarding the IARA’s service to its membership base.

McCoy was voted into his two-year term, which began on Sept. 1, at this year’s IARA Summer Roundtable in Dallas.

IARA’s executive director Matt Marks said, "The IARA is fortunate to have an industry executive like Levi to be a part of our leadership team."

IARA president Rob Wagner also offered his opinion: "The IARA’s leadership team looks forward to working with Levi, as we are embarking on our second decade."

Further highlighting the IARA’s mission, officials noted that the organization aims to “assist, educate and share knowledge across the vehicle remarketing industry, so that each member may be empowered to achieve the fullest efficiency and most continued improvement attainable in the commerce of selling vehicles through the marketplace.”

Members of the organization include industry vendors, suppliers and service providers that offer remarketing-related services or products throughout the U.S. and Canada.

LeasePlan USA’s senior VP of operations Tim Martin added: "The IARA has been an extremely valuable resource to LeasePlan since we joined the alliance in 2005, and we are excited that Levi has the opportunity to leverage his talent and experience in remarketing and training development to contribute to the future goals and growth of the IARA.”
