CINCINNATI -

In honor of the just concluded Military Appreciation Month, Security National Automotive Acceptance Co. (SNAAC) made a $20,000 donation to USA Cares.

As part of its commitment to honor the men and women that serve our country, SNAAC has donated $45,000 to USA Cares during the past three years.

In addition to the corporate donation, SNAAC associates have elected to deduct a portion of their pay each period and donate the proceeds directly to USA Cares.

At the most recent board meeting, SNAAC presented the USA Cares Ohio Chapter with a check for more than $1,400 collected through personal donations during the first quarter of 2015.

USA Cares provides financial and advocacy assistance to U.S. soldiers, veterans and families in all branches of the military who served after Sept. 11, 2001. The organization’s goal is to “help restore financial stability and self-sufficiency by giving a hand up not a hand out,” so it never charges fees nor accepts repayment and relies on donations from private citizens, businesses and foundations for funding.

“USA Cares does a fantastic job of helping veterans address challenges like finding a job, paying rent and covering essentials. We’re committed to supporting their work,” SNAAC president and chief executive officer Brian McDonald said.

“I’m proud to announce that many individuals on our team have chosen to make personal contributions to USA Cares, which demonstrates our collective dedication to members of the military during and after their service to our country,” McDonald continued.

USA Cares has had an impact on SNAAC associates, including Jesse McKerchie, who recently told his story of transition from military to civilian life on the SNAAC blog.
