HOUSTON –

Group 1 Automotive broadened its dealership footprint in the Dallas market this week. Executives revealed the dealership group has acquired Metro Volkswagen in Irving, Texas.

The company said the dealership will augment Group 1’s four existing dealerships in the Dallas-metro area. The rooftop is expected to generate approximately $25 million in estimated annual revenues.

“Volkswagen is a growing brand and we are excited about expanding our partnership with Volkswagen of America,” stated Earl Hesterberg, Group 1’s president and chief executive officer.
