AutoNation Appoints New Board Member
AutoNation revealed Monday that it has gained a new member to its board of directors, pushing its total number of board member to 10. Called to serve as an independent director was Alison Rosenthal.
Explaining her experience officials noted that Rosenthal headed up a slew of initiatives for Facebook’s business development department from 2006 through January of this year. She was Facebook’s head of the global operator program, mobile from July 2008 through January 2011. Before that, Rosenthal was the social networking site’s senior manager, a role she began in February 2006.
Other career experience for Rosenthal includes time as an associate at private equity fund General Atlantic Partners and time serving as an analyst for Goldman, Sachs & Co.
“We are very pleased to have Alison Rosenthal join the AutoNation board,” stated Mike Jackson, chairman and chief executive officer at AutoNation.
“Alison’s technology experience, especially in the areas of mobile applications and social media, will be a valuable resource for the board,” he added.
