ALEXANDRIA, Va. -

The American International Automobile Dealers Association recently shared some of the details of its upcoming International Auto Industry Summit.

Among the speakers at the event will be former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Paul Ingrassia, members of Congress, as well as an automaker panel that will host a Q&A session with dealers.

The summit is scheduled from May 25 through May 26 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. The theme of the event is “Engaged and in Gear.”

During the event, AIADA will also announce the winner of the 2011 Grassroots Advocacy Award.

“The summit is attended by dealers, manufactures, legislators and industry insiders seeking to share strategies and learn about the pressing issues affecting the international auto industry in America,” AIADA shared.

“It is also an opportunity for participants to reach out to members of Congress as a unified front through specially arranged meetings on Capitol Hill,” officials added.
