VIN Viper Enhances iPhone App & More
VIN Viper recently rolled out several enhancements to its mobile dealer solution, including an updated version of its iPhone app and online desktop version as well as the free accessibility of AutoCheck Auction reports.
The company first highlighted the new features of its iPhone app that are free to member dealers:
—Dashboard View: An enhanced graphical interface can allow users to drill down to vehicle data, scan VINs or manage their iPhone account quicker.
—Facebook Integration: VIN Viper contends it’s the only mobile app in the industry to offer social media integration. Dealers can select any vehicle that has been scanned into the iPhone app and then push that vehicle to their dealership’s Facebook account.
As a result, used-vehicle specials appear in Facebook news feeds and dealers can specify what data is included with the integration.
And, if dealers have a Carfax account, they can also have the full vehicle history report posted as a link in the Facebook news feed.
—Email: VIN Viper pointed out it now supports email capability, which can allow dealers to email vehicles that have been scanned into the iPhone app. All relevant data is included by default in the email including vehicle photos.
The company went on to mention the enhancements to its desktop version:
—All VIN Viper users have a fully functional desktop version that can allows lot managers to view all units appraised with the iPhone, as well as enter new VINs to create new appraisals.
—Export Features: Dealers now can use the solution to export vehicles into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, which can then be uploaded to most DMS platforms.
—Reports: Dealers can use VIN Viper’s desktop version to create appraisals or specific reports. Users can select used-vehicle data values, include detailed notes, internal appraisal values and vehicle history reports and save it in a PDF format.
