ANN ARBOR, Mich. -

HookLogic, a company that provides incentive programs to help increase traffic for various lead-driven businesses, including auto dealerships, announced today a newly appointed president of its automotive business unit.

Tapped for the job is David Metter, who previously served as chief marketing officer for dealer group MileOne Automotive and as director of sales for Autobase, a customer relationship management solutions provider.

The new hire goes hand-in-hand with what HookLogic chief executive officer Jonathan Opdyke sees as “tremendous growth (within the company) in the automotive vertical with even more potential ahead."

Metter is regarded as a respected expert in the automotive marketing and e-commerce sectors, the company stressed. Moreover, he is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the Global Automotive Conference and J.D. Power’s Automotive Internet Roundtable.

"David brings an amazing mix of industry expertise, strategic vision and hands-on sales and marketing experience that make him ideal for leading our next phase of growth. Our clients and partners will benefit immensely from his presence. We’re thrilled to have him on board,” said Opdyke.

Metter began his career in the automotive industry in sales, rising to be one of the top Chrysler salesmen in the country and general manager of a dealership.

After finding success as a salesman, he helped grow Autobase from a small start-up company to a respected CRM software vendor.

Also, during his tenure as CMO at MileOne Automotive, Metter implemented the use of many fresh technologies, including HookLogic, resulting in decreased dependency on more expensive traditional marketing tactics.

"When I first met the team three years ago, I was impressed by their success in the travel and retail verticals with clients like Expedia and Overstock.com," said Metter.

"As one of their first automotive clients, I learned firsthand how well the product works. HookLogic is one of the best returns on investment an automotive marketer will ever see. I’m truly excited to join the team and build out our automotive business," he concluded.
