SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

Specializing in collector cars, Barrett-Jackson announced this week that its 2nd annual Orange Country Auction is scheduled for June 24–26 and is set to be even bigger this year.

The three-day automotive lifestyle event will return for a second year to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif.

To accommodate the Scottsdale, Ariz., based company’s selections of Hot Rods, Resto-Mods and original collector cars, it will be bringing a portion of its Scottsdale Auction Tent, which measures nearly two football fields in length.

"Southern California is the epicenter of American car culture, and Orange County is home to some of the most passionate and knowledgeable auto enthusiasts and collectors in the country," said Craig Jackson, chairman and chief executive officer of Barrett-Jackson.

"During the Orange County auction, we will offer a diverse collection of automobiles that will cross the block and will provide various activities the whole family will enjoy," he added.

Early consignment highlights for the 2011 Orange County event include a 1973 Ferrari 365GTB/4 Berlinetta. Additional consignment highlights include 30 vehicles from car collector David Parker.

A sample of Parker’s collection includes:

The auction company will offer the option for both reserve and no reserve consignment applications at the Orange County event.

"Throughout Barrett-Jackson’s history, we have always remained committed to having an open dialogue with our customers about their wants and needs," said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson.

"In the course of this dialogue, we have heard from some of our customers that they are committed to the Barrett-Jackson auction model and the Barrett-Jackson No Reserve format that offers a fair platform for buying and selling collector cars to the largest pool of qualified bidders anywhere in the world,” he added. “On the other hand, we heard from others who would like to participate in a Barrett-Jackson auction but have cars they aren’t comfortable selling at No Reserve."
